Air Pacific is changing the baggage rates effective November 8, 2006.

The 2 piece Business Class baggage allowance from the USA (excluding HNL) will now be 66 lbs (30 kgs) per bag.

The 2 piece Economy Class baggage allowance from the USA (excluding HNL) will now be 50 lbs (23 kgs) per bag instead of 70 lbs (32 kgs) per bag.

If a bag weighs more than 50 lbs (23 kgs) and less than 66 lbs (30 kgs), there will be applicable surcharges per piece.

There will also be a minimal surcharge for bulky items such as surfboards and golf clubs.

The weight system from Vancouver and Honolulu on the B737 service still remains at 30 kgs (66 lbs) per person. There will now be new sliding scale rates of 5 kgs (11 lbs) per bag.
